We learn about ”Love Languages” – Do we speak about things our partner cares about? Perhaps talking about feeling safe and secure, or feeling protected.
Kind words, small gifts, and going out of your way to do something for your partner, are all part of the Languages of Love. The language of touch is also a very big part of this. And very importantly – time together is a key part of the Love Languages. Spending time together planning, sharing things, and enjoying each other’s company – without time together, a relationship will fall apart.
What would love be without being playful? Laughter, playfulness, and intimate fun are a very big part of the Languages of Love.
Caller Ken asks about how he can avoid being triggered if he is already in a down or agitated mood. Learn about what can be done in advance, in this situation, and then what might be done differently, especially if he messes up.
What is one big relationship killer? Criticism is right at the top of the list. Learn to distinguish between talking about the person, vs. talking about the behavior, and how you can communicate about something without making it personal.
